Arabic Placement Exam?

<p>Ok so I’m very fluent in Arabic (speaking) but my reading and writing skills are elementary. I have to sound out the words and so I’m really slow at reading and my writing is even worse. So I was thinking Arabic 1B would be good for me?</p>

<p>Where do I find information about the Arabic placement exam? I couldn’t come up with anything from google…</p>

<p>Do you know how to speak modern standard Arabic or a regional variety of Arabic? It’s possible that the Arabic UCLA teaches is different from the one you learned to speak.</p>

<p>Well I speak Syrian arabic which is pretty much similar to Lebanese. However I can understand the Palestinian and Egyptian dialects so I should be fine.</p>
