<p>Does anyone have insight on Arcadia University in Glenside, PA? I am considering the school as a safety–they seem to have a great honors and study abroad program. Just wondering about the surrounding neighborhood, coursework, social life–I would like to be in a stimulating, challenging environment that is not overly competitive. Also, if anyone has information about merit scholarships given by the school–I have a 98/100 GPA (weighted), 2170 SAT scores (CR670/M700/W780)…Thanks in advance for any information =)</p>
<p>i live near there so i know the area. its a nice suburban neighborhood outside philly. 20 minute train ride to center city. arcadia used to be called beaver college.</p>
<p>My daughter had a 28 ACT with a 3.7 UW GPA and received a merit scholarship of $12,500 for this coming year. She made a different choice, but was mighty impressed with Arcadia.</p>
