I am looking into getting a degree in architecture… When I looked at the USF website I could only find their masters programs for architecture and nothing for undergrad… I would want to get a masters but I’m not sure what undergrad degree I would get first… What do architecture students get a bachelors in at USF?

To get an architect’s professional license you need to get either a 5 year bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in architecture. USF doesn’t offer the bachelor’s degree and it seems a lot of colleges are just offering master’s degree programs today or maybe too a 4 year pre-professional bachelor’s degree program. It looks like USF has several tracks for completing a master’s degree, including one you can enroll in as an undergrad in USF’s master’s program in architecture without getting a bachelor’s degree. As long as you complete prerequisite course requirements, including courses like calculus, physics, intro to architecture, etc., it probably doesn’t matter what your bachelor’s degree is in…you might not even get a bachelor’s if you go directly into the master’s track at USF. Check with the USF architecture dept. office for suggestions on recommended undergrad majors, etc.
