Are admissions "inclusive" of deadlines?

<p>I’m a little curious about the semantics of deadlines. Does a school accept applications on the day listed as its deadline? For example, the CommonApp website lists 01/15/2011 as Colgate’s RD deadline. Can an applicant submit on January 15th, or is January 14th the last day that the admissions office accepts applications? Is this policy different at different schools?</p>

Could somebody please confirm this?</p>

<p>^That is correct. However, the Common App has been known to crash as deadlines near, and colleges aren’t particularly forgiving.</p>
