I never wear any clothes without washing them … clothes imported for china are covered in formaldehyde and or pesticides before shipping…not to mention dyes and other chemicals from manufacturing still present when shipped… but this sounds like something is infused into the material.

like I mentioned before…I only wear cotton and I always wash everything before I wear it (sometimes twice). but this seems to go beyond residue from clothing production or toxic formaldehyde/pesticide sprayed on clothes in china before they are put in shipping containers.
I wonder if the clothes have been treated with some sort of a fire retardant/anti-wrinkler… Trade secret stuff, so no one is going to disclose what it is.
Remember drywalls from China a few years ago that corroded pumbing and electrical work? And we call that free trade.
