Are AP scores factored into merit scholarships?

<p>So awhile back I applied to Tulane and Drexel. Got into them both. I thought AP scores would be listed with my transcript, but my counselor told me they weren’t. </p>

<p>Do AP scores have any bearing, especially when it comes to merit scholarships?</p>

<p>Also, can I just list my AP scores somewhere in the Common App. For University of Pittsburgh, should I just list the AP scores in my Activities Resume?</p>

<p>Certainly it cannot hurt to list your AP scores, but they usually do not factor into scholarship decisions. Your grade in the course and how many AP’s you took are, of course, prime considerations. But many kids don’t get any AP scores until after all the decisions are made. The main thing the AP scores are used for is for college credit before you even set foot on campus.</p>
