I recently got my scores back for U.S. History and English composition and got a 3 and 4.
Do passing grades look good to a college? Aside from waiving some classes can it also help with your admission?

I think that it is only for a course credit and the grade you recieve on your AP test doesn’t have anything to do with the grade you recieved in the class (if you took one).
But it is probably different at some places.

it looks good that you’re taking APs, but they will not be the deciding factor.

they’re mainly for placement

I believe they are a factor. D mistakenly did not report her AP scores on common app and admin officer called her guidance counselor looking for them. If it didn’t matter, I don’t think this phone call would have been made.
