Note: I am not Asian.
So usually top colleges have a student body of about 15-20 percent Asian. This seems rather strange considering that the percent of high school students Asian is in single digits. So obviously colleges are not racist. Also, top colleges tend to accept students who pursue their own passions; not just doing a particular activity to put it on their resume. Many Asians are forced by their parents to do certain extracurricular activities. Admission officers can tell if students are really pursing their passions or not. So in short, I believe Asians are not simply punished by being Asian (stereotype that Asians are not creative) but they have a lower admissions rate than other races simply because many of their parents do not let their children pursue their passions.
