Well, I have been out of school for a number of years, so I can’t comment on how hard today’s classes are.

But BU has an excellent law and med school admittance rate. I am sure you can find the exact percent on the website. I have many friends who went to law and med school - at Penn, Duke, etc

Lewisburg is a typical small town. Some restaurants, shops, etc you can walk to. Target/Walmart/Mall you would need a car to get to. The University arranges a lot of things on weekends and there are fraternities too. Its a very close-knit community.

addressing the difficulty question…

id say a student willing to stay on top of his work and capable of doing well enough on the lsat to get into a top law school shouldnt face significant difficulty maintaining a high gpa (in those departments). thats not to say that full As are handed out like candy, but rather that a decent test taker who shows up to class and does his homework is almost never going to walk out of a class in one of those departments with less than a B. as a result, average gpas in those departments are probably near 3.5 (econ might be a bit lower), meaning one does not need to be much above average to maintain a gpa in the 3.7s.

on the actual grade point scale, its x.00/x.67/x.33 with overall gpas (at least historically) truncated.

eric when did you graduate? also. how long does it take to get used to the town?

So it is clear from your name that Cornell is one of your first choices. I have a D1 that graduated from Cornell last year and a D2 attending Bucknell as a senior this year.

Let me first say they both worked diligently at their school work, ie they were/are both serious students. And they both have said that their workload during the semester was/is very strenuous.

D1 graduated with a 3.9 from Cornell. D2 presently has a 3.7 from Bucknell. Both of their GPA’s are great for graduate school.

But your LSAT score is the most important thing for law school OP. If you want to get into a top five you need to get an LSAT score of at least 170 or over.

Do a trial test.
