Are classes at NYU Steinhardt difficult?

I got accepted into NYU Steinhardt for education.

First of all, I got 20k in scholarship money. I also found out that you only need a 2.0 GPA to keep the scholarship.

Since 2.0 seems unreasonably low, are the classes incredibly hard? (or are their standards just low?)

P.S.
TCNJ vs NYU!?
I’m getting 8k from TCNJ, and 20k from NYU.
The total costs from NYU will be around 7k more than if I went to TCNJ. (finances are important for me)

I really like NYU because it’s in the city and the name is more well known, but is it worth going there for another 7,000 dollars per year?

NYU classes are just like any other university. It depends on your efforts and the professor’s style of teaching. Theres always easy and hard classes.

thanks for the quick response

any thoughts on the money issue?
-i’d hate to get kicked out because I can’t maintain a 2.0! (or 3.0 at TCNJ)

um, are you seriously comparing TCNJ to NYU?!

well yeah…
and i know NYU is probably way better, but money is very important to my family at the moment

plus, many ppl say TCNJ gets ppl into good grad schools…
-and since i’m only going into teaching, do i really need a “top education” for a low paying field?

Picking TCNJ over NYU isn’t outrageous at all…I’ve seen tons of kids from NJ (which I assume the OP is from), pick TCNJ over schools better than NYU.
