<p>I’m going to self study for the AP Computer Science exam next year, and I’m trying to find a good textbook for it. I was looking at Java Concepts by Cay Horstmann (ISBN: 9780470105559). I’ll be supplementing it with other review books and websites (like The New Boston), but I wanted to know if it would make a huge difference if I get a previous edition from 2007, rather than the newest one from 2009. And, I looked through the table of contents on amazon, and it doesn’t look like it has the solutions to exercises, or really I couldn’t even tell from that whether it has exercises. Does anyone here have any experience with it?</p>
