are grad students allowed to participate and lead ECs?

regardless of whether I graduate in 3 years or 4 years, if i stay on at Princeton after graduation for a Master’s, am I still allowed to participate in ECs and run for and hold positions in them?

Grad students generally don’t participate in undergrad ECs.

I see… why is that so? Is it because grad students usually aren’t fresh graduates from Princeton? If I still wanted to as a grad student, could I still do so and hold positions?

It’s up to the individual organizations I think. The reason it’s so uncommon is that there’s virtually no interaction between undergrads and grad students outside of precept. Undergrads stereotype grad students as sketchy.

LOL! well I’m sure they’d be more accepting of me if I go for grad right after undergrad - I’d still know many current undergrads anyway. I’ll have to check it out with the organizations I guess.

Graduate students have their own ECs and organizations - even if you know current undergrads, I’m not sure they would appreciate you being the leader when they would like to compete for those positions too…
