<p>When I took the PSAT I marked the Mexican American box. Not Hispanic/Latino. Will college board still consider me when choosing for NHRP? Mexican/Americans are basically Hispanic/Latinos.

<p>Yes, Mexican- Americans are considered for NHRP, as they are usually considered Hispanic/Latino as well. I don’t know why they have both options listed, but they do. I checked Mexican American on both my college applications and the PSAT, and while I didn’t get in to NHRP, I was confident that I would have been, had my score been higher.</p>
