Are My Classes Strong Enough for Highly Competitive Colleges?

So im a to-be sophomore and ive planned out my high school schedule already. Im in a special program called a UP (University Program) in my high school that concentrates in (SMR) Science, Medicine, and Research. the SMR UP students take double honors science to prepare for SAT II’s in June and get other exclusive opportunities… I got all A’s and one B+ in math as a freshman and expect to carry on with similar grades and work my butt off to get them

AP English 4 (Lit)

My school doesnt have freshman/sophomores taking any AP classes except for the first half of US History and there are required sequences in honors classes to take AP classes. so between that and the SMR UP this will most likely be my schedule. I havent taken any other standardized tests than the Bio M- 730. I have knack for test taking ive just always been good at it so I imagine i can do at least 2000 on the SATs and equivalent on ACT.
for extracurriculars i run cross country in the fall swimming in the winter and track in the spring. as a freshman i did robotics and biology league/ science club to prepare for SAT II and will do same in chem and phys. im in my church youth group that does volunteer service and will be joining the teen leaders club at my YMCA. im a camp counselor over the summer and i might try lifeguarding well see.
AM I GOOD ENOUGH FOR A SCHOOL LIKE VILLANOVA/ DUKE/ UNC?

I hate people that plan their schedules this far in advance.

What CSIHSIS said. Honestly, if I had had it my way from freshman/sophomore year, I’d have 6-7 APs a year. (Instead of 3-4 a year; which is honestly perfect) It’s great to have things planned out, but still, don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t work out that way. Worry about junior/senior year as they come. Also, some AP classes may get cut before you get to take them.

It’s more important that you continue to do well in the classes. Focus on extracurriculars as well for college admission. Is Gym/Health required every year?

You don’t need AP Spanish 5 senior year and might want to double up on science that year instead. But really there’s no need to plan ahead this much. I agree that 4 APs per year is really plenty.

Why would you think that far ahead? Just take each semester one step at a time.
