<p>Hello there can you guys just have a look and give your own opinions about my ecs(i’m international):
-good command of German after learning it for a year,member of German club. W cert
-head of department of a student-volunteer organization.w cert
-3rd prize in national exam for high school students(subject is english) w cert
-some certs for charity work
-participating in some school events-no cert.</p>

<p>Good ECs, but not amazing. not going to make you stand out in a good or bad way.</p>
<p>If you can connect in your application why you are passionate about your ecs, they should be fine.</p>
<p>I mean overall they are mediocre, but you can always show you have passion for them and spin it well. It is neither the worst nor the best. Probably the Low end of middle.</p>
<p>Thank you so much.actually i’m in grade 11(/12).i just wanna know if it is necessary to have more ecs before i apply to US colleges in 2014.</p>
<p>Certificates don’t really matter, though the reasons you are getting them does. I am assuming you are applying to top schools because you are on this site (I could be wrong), if this is the case you need to improve your ECs…</p>
<p>To be honest i’m just planning to apply to some100th-ranked schools(usnews),esp those w acceptance rate over 50%</p>
