3.5 uw, 3.65 UC gpa, 4.0 gpa weighted. (i know they are low for alot of colleges on my list) i have taken 12 honors/ap classes freshman to junior year. This year i am taking AP Biology and AP Calculus AB which are the last two ap/honors classes my school offers. i have recieved 4 C’s in high school 1 in AP Chem, 1 in Algebra 2 honors, and 2 in spanish 3 </p></li>
<li><p>Test Scores: </p></li>
<li><p>2200 SAT (760 M , 720 CR, 720 W) </p></li>
<li><p>700 Math 2</p></li>
<li><p>700 u.s. history</p></li>
<li><p>Personal statements: (i kind of integrated the 4 topics below into my two essays)</p></li>
<li><p>when i was a freshman my parents got in an accident and i had to start taking care of my whole family. what i mean is that my chores got tripled, i needed to help my parents move through the house, and i had to walk my bro to school before i went. My school and his school are in 2 opposite directions. </p></li>
<li><p>i also wrote about how the envioronment i grew up in has shaped me to be a strong perservering leader and how people see me as a leader not because of my large frame (6’2, 200) but because of the presence i have when i am in the room. </p></li>
<li><p>how my parents accident coupled with my volunteering at the hospital has changed my outlook on life and how i found my true calling which is medicine because God has blessed me with intelligence and lots of empathy towards the needy and weak. </p></li>
<li><p>i also included in my essay a great quote from one of a famous surgeon (i am drawing a blank on his name right now) but it said " i was never the smartest in med school, but what i lacked in ability i made up through discipline." i think this quote really applies to me and i explained why. </p></li>

<p>for the colleges that you think i will match into which one would be the best fit for a person whose dream is to get a joint MD, MBA from UPENN SOM and Wharton?</p>

<p>you might want to try narrowing down your list some so cc’ers actually want to chance you. strong test scores make up for your C’s and lower gpa and you have pretty decent ECs and I think you draw a unique image of yourself through your essays so overall…

<p>your life is somehwat inspiring haha
what URM are you? AA, Mexican, Hispanic, etc?
i think that with what you have going for you, you probably have a really good chance at all of these schools. i wouldn’t be surprised at all if you got accepted everywhere
your toughest are UPenn and Gtown. if you can do even better your senior year (like straight As), you’ll be in to any college you want FOR SURE NO DOUBT
already you are pretty compelling, and i would deff. admit you if i were at harvard, princeton, or yale</p>

<p>but will the colleges see these grades i thought that they don’t look at them?</p>
