Are my SAT scores good enough to send?

Applying to Ivy League (HYP)

French: 800
Literature: 780
US History: 730

It’s really the 730 I’m concerned about. The course wasn’t offered at my school and I had to self- study but I was still expecting at least a 750. (used to get around 760 on the official tests).

If SAT II is not required, should I still send these in? Should I retake Lit and History?

Any advice very much appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Would really need advice on this :s

Where are your regular SAT scores?

2250 for my SAT

@rossbusiness

In a perfect world, you would have a higher score than 730 on US History. If you look at score distribution on the College Board website, I think this score is at the 80th percentile or so. Remember that the population of students taking Subject Tests is really the HYP applicant pool not the broader SAT

@Wje9164be I was surprised and quite upset with the 730 but am just not sure if it’s worth retaking. It’s definitely the weakest part of my application (my SAT scores in general). Do you think it will make a big difference?

No, at this point you should focus on essays, networking and other aspects of your application. There are no guarantees if you retake the exam your score will go up. D was in same boat with 730 on US History last year. You do have 2 very good scores
