Are my SAT scores okay?

I made an 1800.
CR: 600
M: 550
Writing: 650

Please keep in mind that I am by no means as experienced as a high school senior or juniour. I am a freshman and intend to take the test again in later years.

Those are really great scores for a freshman, but you might want to study for the new SAT before it’s too late. The critical reading portion is pretty similar so you should keep it up, but the math and writing (in my opinion) are more difficult. But if you have the potential to get an 1800 as a freshman, and keep self-studying, your scores are great!

Definitely good for a freshman, but why are you taking this old test? Your class won’t have the chance to submit the old SAT for college applications. Study the new SAT (right now only Khan Academy has reliable prep resources) or the ACT.

I had to take it in order to submit an application to a college I am applying for next semester (via the MOWR program). Since the application is due Nov 2, I had to receive my scores before then.

@ac6803 Thanks! I’m probably going to take the new SAT as a juniour, but I’ve already done a minor amount of studying for it already since my high school requires all freshman and sophomores to take the PSAT this year.
