Are my scores that bad

Ok so i have a 1120 out of 1600 on my sat and a 1700 with all three sections. I am afraid that I wont be able to get into my schools with my SAT score.

I have a 94 Average
Excellent recommendations
Competitive classes

well rounded activity profile

I am applying to Penn State-University Park, University of Maryland-college park, syracuse university, university of delaware, university of massachusetts, viginia tech, james madison university, miami university, quinnipiac, and two other schools.

What do you guys think.
I am bad at taking tests but I have a pretty competitive app. except for my SAT scores

I’ve read a fair amount about Umass for my daughter , and I’d say you have a reasonable (say at least 50%) chance of admission there. Better chances if you are a favored minority, or one of your SAT sub-scores is high and matches your choice in major. It might help you to get more informed opinions if you clarify what ‘competitive classes’ means. There is so much grade inflation in high schools, that I suspect admissions counselors are relying on AP test scores, and perhaps SAT subject test scores, to gauge HS achievement.

I view UMass as a semi-selective school: pretty easy to get into liberal arts, not so easy to get into engineering or business. Apparently Nursing is also competitive, but the group applying is atypical compared to other selective majors.

Have you looked at the middle 50% range for the schools you’re applying to? I’m not too familiar with the numbers based gpa - ours is on a 4.0 scale - but it looks like you have an A average. You should have a fairly good chance at most of the schools you listed, I would think.
