Are people overly influenced by unrealistic claims and misleading images? (Pls Grade My essay)

In this era of highly developed means of communication, it does not take time for an information (whether true or not) to reach to a plethora of people. People blindly believe whatever they see because they feel that is the truth. Advertising agencies have been using unrealistic claims and misleading images since times immemorial to gain more profits. Reebok and Animal Farm serve as examples to my stand.
Reebok had launched a series of easy tone shoes in the past. They claimed that these shoes were designed in such a way that they strengthened the muscles and toned the body. All the consumer had to do was to wear them for most of the time of the day. People believed this claim and as a result ended up buying the shoes. Later, Reebok was sued for false claims in an advertisement and were fined accordingly.
In George Orwell’s Animal Farm also we can see that the raven, whose name was Moses, used to mislead all the animals by misleading images and descriptions of a place called “Sugar candy Mountain” where all the animals live happily. Moses claims that the animals get loads of food there and they also need not work for it. Thus, many animals on the farm get influenced by these false claims and start believing Moses.
Thus, unrealistic claims and misleading images, as seen in the above two examples, can influence people to a great extent.

Well yes, it’s called propaganda.
