<p>Are private universities worth the cost over public universities for your undegrad? What are your opinions?</p>
<p>I think it depends on the student, the private school, the public school and the cost. For my family it is more than worth the cost, however we can afford the cost that we are being charged. If we could not have afforded it my daughter would not have gone to private school.</p>

<p>I think it all depends on which schools you’re talking about…your question is very generic. I would not favor a great number of private colleges over many state flagships but it depends on what the student’s intended field of study is, what the differences in the programs/opportunities/faculty at the specific schools are and, of course, the various financial aspects that are important to the student and family.</p>
<p>This question response would vary by person and family. For some, it IS worth the cost. For others it isn’t.</p>

<p>I think the question is targeting private universities that cost more than the publics. Regardless, the answer to the question depends on which privates vs which publics under a number of scenarios. There is no one size fits all answer to this question.</p>

<p>Some privates are good, some are better, and some are great.</p>
<p>The same goes for publics. You can’t just say that private is better than public, or vice versa.</p>
<p>I don’t think all privates, or even most are BMWs.</p>
