<p>Yes, they are allowed, and you would just mail them to whereever you’re mailing your application, unless the rec forms say otherwise. </p>
<p>However, I would be careful not to overload them with recs…too many can count against you. The ideal would be about 3 total: 1 from a guidance counselor (required), 1 from a teacher (required), and 1 from an outside person (or another teacher) that highlights another side of you (your boss, your Drama Club director, your soccer coach, etc…). Three strong recs is plenty…I would be very careful about sending more than that.</p>

<p>Not at all…especially if you have close relationships with your teacher and guidance counselor. A third rec is only useful if you feel that the teacher and guidance councelor will not do you justice.</p>
