Are the SAT answer sheets reliable?

I have found that for school scantrons… alot of times I erase an answer and bubble in a different answer… the scantron reads the former answer?

Is it the same situation for the SAT answer sheets? I erased a lot of answers and bubbled in diff answers. I tried to make sure to completely erase… but one cannot FULLY erase an answer, as there are small marks that are almost permanent.

Whats the deal?

bump!!!

well, there was an article in another thread about paying additional for the college board people to hand-grade the answer sheets, but that costs an extra $50. and only if they find a mistake from the scantron machine do you get your money back.
