Are there any admission chances?

hi everyone,
i see that there are lots of similar topics, and i am really sorry to bother you with the same question over n over again: Do I have any chances of getting in _____ ?

  • SAT I: 620 Verbal, 800 Math
  • SAT II: 510 Writing (I know, I know :frowning: ), 700 Physics, 750 IIC
  • TOEFL: 287 // forgot to say: international admission, my mistake. what can i say - just another newbie… I’ll be grateful if someone from the moderating team moves the topic to international.
  • decent xtra-curriculars and GPA
  • most probably not so impressive essays
    is there a slight chance of getting in Oberlin/Trinity/Colgate/Lafayette ?

thx in advance for wasting some time for posting 1-2 lines.

yeah. You have chance…not a good one

You sound like “yeah…right” and you are probably right - my SAT II Writing just s**ks. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows whether a score from one test (whatever the test - TOEFL, SAT Reasoning, Subject tests) can be balanced by the score of another. I mean - are scores evaluated separately, or is the final decision a complex summary of all test results.

And one more thing: is there any website where I can see the approximate scores from the tests that the colleges require. (apart from collegeboard.com).

thanks.

College websites give you the range of their SAT scores, but I believe that’s the same information that collegeboard will give you, so that’s actually the easiest source. You’re not going to find more than a general range anywhere, because there is no specific score that will automatically get you in or keep you out of any school.

wait… i meant you have about 50% chance at all those schools. your not a shoe-in is all

@beramod - hope you’re right
@esmeralda - Well, college websites, as well as collegeboard.com, give information just for the SAT Reasoning test. What I need, however, is some statistics about the SAT Subject tests, because my Writing score is an absolute disaster and the other scores (see 1st post) aren’t things you would be happy about (you know what I mean).
best regards.
