Is it a benefit, like how much does is awarded? I do want to know if the music band requires hours of training, it is self evidence but approximately how many hours does the band train? I want to know if I would be able to handle it. I also play bass clarinet for concert band. I’m not really a marching band type.

Typically concert band would be offered for credit, perhaps one credit. Some concert bands would require an audition. It would be clear how often they would meet, and you would decide how much practicing outside of class you would do.

My son was in concert band. They met once a week for 2.5 hours, he received 1 credit and it was an easy A.
