<p>for gaming u can hook up to dormnet, it allows enough packets even at jammed times for mostly lagfree uplink.
for everything else you dont need an ISP…unless u plan on…no, actually u really dont.</p>

<p>You get one ethernet jack for dormnet, plus there’s wireless in most places.</p>

<p>I’m also concerned about security. OK, because, is packet sniffing there easy?</p>

<p>Starbucks and McDonalds have VERY insecure wireless networks, as do some hotels… and some of my stuff I send is important (buying selling stocks every few days)</p>

<p>Buying/selling stocks is OK as long as it’s over SSL. I’d stick to wired connections for that, though.</p>

<p>I hate wireless connections though because you can sniff packets of data VERY EASILY if it’s not secured… even if it’s illegal on Pton’s connection, who cares if you can hijack $30K account worth of stocks… you know?</p>
