Are there any other forums for Stony Brookers frequent?

I just want to know.

And when do I get to do my Writing Assessment? During my Orientation do I have to do it way before then?
Should I also hand in my Health form before the Orientation or is it OK for me to hand it in during?

There is a new community at [SBUGuide - Stony Brook University Forums - Index page](http://www.sbuguide.com/forums) which you should check out!

The writing assessment is given over the internet from the SBU website. It takes about 2 weeks to get the results. Make sure you have to take it though, so that you don’t waste your weekend writing a 900+ word essay only to find out you were exempt, like me :P

I believe you can hand in the health form at orientation.

Wow, I just realized that the thread title is messed up.
I meant to type:
“Are there any other forums that Stony Brookers frequent?”

And since the Writing Assessment is over the internet, is there a specific time when I can take it? I’m not quite sure but don’t they have a schedule posted online for registering for the essay as well as the deadlines? If yes, then I guess the earliest Writing Assessment date is July 9-11…

The way the writing assessment works is that on Friday (I guess July 9th) sometime in the afternoon you will be able to see the assignment for the essay. You’ll have until the following Monday at noon to submit it.

You are supposed to complete the writing assessment two weeks prior to your orientation. You already missed four times when you could have done it :-/
And when I took it it only took 2 days to get the results…

And I know you can mail in your Health Form early, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to accept it at orientation.

A lot of incoming SB students go to the Facebook group and chat a lot:

Yeah the facebook group is a really good place, lots of information and such. Tons of people to meet, and to talk to.
