I want to take classes required earlier while I’m still in high school. Thanks!

Are there certain classes you HAVE to take at UC LA no matter what career/major you're looking into?

A through G requirements

Well here are the requirements by school http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/ge/GETable2013-14.pdf. You could check with the school’s registrar’s office to see which AP/IB/Dual enrollment courses satisfy these requirements. Generally, its never a bad thing to enroll in a course that could offer you credit unless you don’t think you can handle it. Even if UCLA doesn’t offer you credit, another school you are applying to might. (The only exception to this rule might be Lit/Lang, many schools only offer credit for one, and two would be redundant, check with them though)

thank you!

many students prefer to satisfy the foreign language requirement by taking a language in HS thru the AP level and getting a 3 or better on the AP test. Taking it at a UC can be time-intensive and fast paced.
