Are there Open-days in the US?

<p>Hi there,</p>

<p>I was wondering are there some kind of Open Days in the American colleges and universities.
In England they have special days during which you go there, meet professors, members of the staff, alumni, students, take a look at the facilities; some lectures are organised and you basically talk with lots of people.
Such days in Cambridge are organised from 7th till 9th of July. I search through the sites of some American, but all I find is the Visitor Calender of Stanford, for instance.</p>

<p>Is this the same?</p>

<p>If not, would you please recommend me where to look for such information?</p>
