Are these extracurricular activities good for getting into UBC/UCSD and similar universities?

Have an astronomy blog as well
Part of school JV football team
Write articles for a well-known online sports newspaper
Playing the drums throughout my high school career
1310 on the SAT and 31 IB points

If not, what more can I do?

Get community service on your application and maybe an internship corresponding to your wanted major or a job. Also try to be a club officer like president or such in the future.
