*I will do EA to all of these schools above.

“*I will do EA to all of these schools above.”
no you will not. you can’t

Then, should I first retake the SAT and see how I do?

Yes, why not?

But I thought doing EA would be beneficial, espcially when I can send my new SAT scores directly before I retake it.

What you guys think?

Bump! (10 char)

Eh. With current SAT scores, I wouldn’t say Northeastern is a safety. But, pending new SATs, I think I’ll be able to get a better idea (Plus, I don’t know too much about Indiana and PSU)

Anyone else?

With your current SAT scores:

Fordham and Northeastern actually more like a reach.
Bloomington, Penn State, and Purdue are more like matches.

You should look at some SAT optional schools to determine your safeties. www.fairtest.org.

I am confused when warden said you cannot do EA to all of them? Is there a limit to the EAs you can do? It is non-binding so what is the problem? Can anyone explain this to me please?

warden may have been thinking of ED or SCEA. There is no limit to the number of EAs you do.

i would say those are all at least matches, if not reaches… what state are you from? if from PA, PSU a match, if not, reach for main campus

what is your weighted gpa?? PSU looks at weighted GPA and its two thirds of the equation. You’ll need a good GPA to make up for the low scores. I wouldn’t say PSU is a match unless your W GPA is really great or you’re absolutely sure you can raise your scores. Also depends on what program you’re applying to. Business, for example, has tougher standards. In any case, the best thing you can do for PSU is apply early, and agree to do summer session. You can update your SAT scores in the fall.

Indiana and Purdue are definitely safeties.

I think you’ll get into Penn State. Wouldn’t call it a safety but you’ll get in.

Don’t know much about Fordham and Northeastern.

You may want to make sure that all of those colleges offer early acceptance, and that they are all unrestricted early action.

I think Stanford and Yale are the only two with single-choice early action, but I may be wrong about that.

i was just at fordham yesterday. your GPA is good for there (they said their average is 89- aka 3.5) but just bring up your SATs and it will be more of a match. i wouldn’t call it a safety though.
