<p>do any of these things worth anything for colleges such as harvard/mit:</p>
<p>i have some music awards, such as the associative royal board school of music test awards, for piano. i can also send in a CD if it’s okay…but i’ve heard that unless you want to major in music, they really don’t want supplements.</p>
<p>does being an allstate violinist in NJ count for much too?</p>
<p>what about columbia university science honors program? it seems like they accept a LOT of people…like 300 each year, and it’s just from nj/ny/conneticut or whatever area. is it worth putting on my app, since MIT gives about 5 spaces for “Extracurricular activities” while the common app gives like 7.</p>
<p>plus, are the piano awards and CSHP part of “clubs and activities”? can they go under scholastic awards…what about like regional tennis awards?</p>
<p>cuz i’m asian…and these are totally asian :). it seems we all have the same stuff, so i should probably not waste space on my app to write it. i have other clubs that i have leadership positions, should i put those.</p>
<p>lol…i’m just trying to clear up some stuff…what is worth putting and what isn’t…cuz i know a lot of activities are pretty much worthless for colleges (although they are great experiences and lots of fun!)</p>
