Are these Universities good enough for an International seeking low contribution? [3.78 GPA, rank 1]

Are you particularly interested in the intersection of cs and environmental science ?

Thank you for the reply

Sadly, my environment isn’t really that friendly.

I am so sorry I meant to mention ED not EA, All the colleges that are mentioned above in the list are ED only.

~2.8% actually, but it’s need-aware so there’s no point in ED.

No response yet, I have emailed troy at intlrecruit@troy.edu.

I would really appreciate that.

Thank you.

I mean I wouldn’t pursue environment and climate as a main course. It’s a concentration in Brown. Hence, I was interested in it.

Thank you.

You can only ED to one. But you can apply to all.

I understand. I’ll probably also apply in coalition app so perhaps I could get better chances during RD/EA.

Thank you.

Concentrations are Brown’s term for majors. If you want this as well as CS, it would be a double-concentration (the same as a double-major).

but you could always major in CS and then take Environmental courses. But I don’t think there is a particular cross-discipline interest at Brown on the intersection of CS and environmental science .

Coalition app doesn’t change an applicant’s chances.

It has no limit to apply. That’s the main reason why I plan to use it.

My bad got confused, sorry.

Yes, there are not any.

Thank you

That’s why I was suggesting that you consider Bowdoin as a possible ED school since the odds are slightly better there for acceptance than they are at Brown.

I think I should compare Bowdoin with Amherst, what do you say on this. Amherst because of its open curriculum again.

My opinion only
I think you have a slightly better chance of getting accepted to Bowdoin than to Amherst.

But you need to like where you are attending college. That is important also.

I think you are over analyzing.

You are looking for anyone to educate you in the US for $12K or less.

You should have no other qualification.

It doesn’t matter if they admit .5% or 100%.

If they have CS and admit you at $12K or less, it’s a win.

You are debating schools that you are not going to get into - against one another - like you’ll have a choice.

Sorry to be blunt.

That’s why I’m hopeful a Troy or USM work out. I’ve emailed Troy - well they don’t have an email but a request form which I’ve filled out.

I don’t know if I should even look at the choices both are pretty low for me to get in.

Thank you

I strongly agree, both are very low chance for me to get in. I should focus on prepping essays

I think it should unless I am a fortunate candidate of 0.6%

I had to do some very deep digging to find that international email.

Thank you for the help!

U S M - U of Southern Miss.

Forget the NPC

If another international said there was a full ride, I would take my chance on that one. You might reach out and ask if possible or for a fee waiver - but when you are desperate, it’s a door I would not close.

Hey, but coalition app generally has shorter essay prompts for each college than the commonapp.

So isn’t it better to use coalition app?
