Okay so I know you can’t get any D’s or F’s but my counselor (who I’m now doubting) told me that CSU’s do not look at senior grades, except for occasionally cal poly and now SDSU. Anyway, so I applied to Fullerton and Long beach on the same day. I’ve already received acceptance from Fullerton. Today I checked my admission status with LB and they sent me an email saying they’ve done an initial review of my application but due to competing need they won’t be sending out admissions until February. Does this mean they’re waiting for my senior grades?? I was a 4.3 student last year but this year I’ll be lucky if I make a 3.2…I’ve honestly been slacking off so much my senior year which I regret but there’s not much I can do now. I was coasting on the idea that I just needed to make C’s or above. Now this email is really making me nervous. I did get an email from SDSU saying they want me to maintain the same GPA reported on my application which is impossible for me so that’s out the door. Help!
It’s standard for CSUs and UCs to send out admissions in February and March, but they don’t consider senior grades. There may be some exceptions on a case-by-case basis for borderline applicants though.
