I’m a HS senior thinking about attending Lehigh next year and was wondering if the D1 athletes are allowed to play intramurals (such a basketball) or join Greek life. Also, is it hard to keep up with the workload as an athlete? Thanks
I’m not an athlete, so I can’t answer #1. I don’t think they can though.
I do know they can join Greek Life, there is a house on campus that’s somewhat dedicated to football players, and one other that used to be the football house that still attracts some football players.
I have some friends who play a variety of D1 sports, it seems like it’s not too bad to keep up with school work. It depends what school you’re in. Engineering is going to be tough to keep up with in addition to D1 and Greek Life. If you’re in business, it’s probably not impossible. Arts and sciences should be very manageable. Just realize that if you want to do all that, their isn’t a lot of time to just chill or hang out with friends depending on your major and classes.
@WatermelonDude did you apply? I am in engineering and a D1 athlete and would be happy to answer your questions if you ended up applying.
