Are we allowed to bring a computer mouse for orientation?

For clarification, are we able to bring our own computer mouse to orientation for the purposes to make class signups a bit efficient? I heard the trackpads on the laptops are difficult to use.

I was a little concerned with the pad too but it’s actually fine. I really don’t think you’d need a mouse if you regularly use a laptop without a mouse. It’s not any more difficult to use than another laptop.

Hopefully this isn’t late, but I don’t think it matters. It would look weird because many other students won’t have the mouse… Other than that, getting the classes you want shouldn’t be that difficult! I was able to get all the classes I needed; however, I was pressed for time and dropped a class I really wanted which really screwed me over… The netbook’s track-pad is pretty good.

I ended up not bringing it haha. The trackpad was insanely different to my MacBook Pro one, but I made it work :D

I didn’t get a class that was required for my major, but luckily, the person who printed my schedule gave it to me.

FYI, a bit of advice that will prove useful in your UC career – its always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission…
