We had rack of lamb with sauce (from Julia Child’s *The Way to Cook * my favorite of her cookbooks), pan roasted asparagus, mashed potatoes (not quite as evil as Zoosermom’s version), salad, apple pie brought by my sister-in-law from her mother’s recipe which is the world’s best apple pie.</p>
