Are you allowed to eat in any of your classes?

Homeroom: Yes, I actually brought a milkshake from Burger King in once.

AP US Gov: Never tried. If I need to eat in the morning, it would be in homeroom

Gym: Um, no.

AP Music Theory: Probably. He mentioned that if we put in money at some point, we could order food. (There are only 3 of us in there so he really doesn’t care)

AP Calc: I’d assume. When it comes to his AP Calc classes, he gives us lots of wiggle room

French IV: Independent Study. I could probably do whatever I wanted in the back of the room as long it wasn’t interrupting. So probably.

Band: No. I have it right after lunch anyway

AP Lit: Probably not. She’s nice, but kind of strict about school rules.

AP Physics C: Mechanics: He gives (all four of) us food. So yes. (Same teacher for homeroom)

IB History teacher walks into the class and says literally this:
“Alright guys, put away everything except food! We’re watching videos today!”

I think the only class we can’t eat in is Chemistry, for obvious reasons.

Technically, I’m not allowed to.

I haven’t seen anyone eat in class yet.

In lit: yeah, as long as the smell doesn’t bother others

In chem: lol nooooo

In French: nope. we can’t do anything that might take away from “the learning”

In history: yeah, he doesn’t care

In math: nope.

In ap theory: doesn’t really care

Japanese teacher just approved of eating in her class.

I eat lunch during Health.

French 3 Honors: Nope, tried it once and the teacher called me out. lol
AP US Gov: Not allowed to eat, but we can drink anything legal
Honors Bio: if we notify the teacher beforehand, yes
Journalism: YES
African American studies: technically no, but this is not enforced
Alg 2: No
Honors English: No

We can eat, drink, chew gum, whatever in all my classes — except in the science labs. My bio class is in a lab and though the state says we can’t eat or drink (even bottled water) my teacher thinks that it’s stupid and allows us to do whatever we want as long as we don’t ingest something toxic (direct quote: “For Chrissake, you’re almost f***ing adults, I think you probably know the difference between corrosive acid and a bottle of Gatorade!”). The other teachers enforce it, though. My homeroom (which is basically snack break) is in a lab and we have to sit out in the hallway to eat and drink.

Wait, remembered another one…
Our art wing is split into two rooms, the second of which I spend most of my time in. To get there you have to go through the first room, which is under the dictatorship of our male art teacher who apparently hates art and fun and everything good in the world, and banished food/drink/music from the art room… My teacher for IB Art (and the other higher-level classes, AP etc) is in the second room and smuggles in boxes of DD’s for our class in the mornings, makes us coffee on her Keurig, has several stereos we can play at a reasonable volume so the other guy can’t hear, etc… It’s an extremely covert form of total freedom.

edit: a classmate of mine is misophonic, which means certain sounds are unbearable to her, and most of those are food sounds, so out of respect we refrain from crunching/loudly chewing/snapping gum when we’re near her, but it isn’t a classroom rule by any means.

I sorta feel as seniors nobody will really tell us what to do but sometimes we’ll get the 'ol stare down when eating (especially in physics)
