Are you excited about the royal wedding?

I could not possibly care less.

A Kennedy is getting married?

Yup - I am hooked and I will watch the wedding. I plan on recording the events so I can fast forward while I sip my Earl Grey tea and nibble on scones. I just cannot decided which network to record and now I must be off in search of a proper hat!

I’ll definitely watch. I find everything royal akin to watching a train wreck.

All my British friends loathe the chinless wonders and plan on being as far away from a tv as possible. They are all very happy though to have the day off from work.

I love Christopher Hitchens take on the wedding: [Royal wedding: Does Kate Middleton really want to marry into a family like this? - By Christopher Hitchens - Slate Magazine](Royal baby: Was it a mistake for Kate to have a baby in this family?)

I did not watch Princess Diana’s wedding but I did watch her funeral on my vacation in Hawaii. So of course I’m not going to miss her son wedding. I will take Thursday and Friday off to celebrate H & I anniversary and also to watch the wedding. The time is 3-5:00 A.M and not 7:00 A.M for west coast.

I have close to zero interest.

Since it was the first marriage of a direct heir to the throne in my lifetime, I took a mild interest when Charles and Diana got married - but not enough to get up early to watch it. But considering what a disaster that turned out to be I have a hard time generating any enthusiasm this time. But I wish the newlyweds well.

I love weddings! Any weddings. That’s why I watch Bridezillas and My Fair Wedding.

I couldn’t care less about their weddings OR funerals. My friends in the UK consider the whole affair an embarrassment.

DMD77---------GREAT take by Christopher Hitchens.

I have a hard time getting excited about weddings for people I actually know- I don’t know why but I just have a hard time with ceremonies. I will be sleeping soundly thru the Royal wedding.

Nothing more than mild curiosity. One of the major tv stations (I think NBC maybe) said they were scaling back coverage and news reports b/c the couple was too boring.

When it comes to the royals, boring is good. Actually, when it comes to most folks who have the media swirling around them, boring is good. The couple won’t have many happy years together if the media in England finds them anything but boring. Coverage can kill you there.

April 29 will be a BUSY TV day for us! The shuttle launch is scheduled for 3:47 pm EDT!

I’m not interested at all about the royal wedding. I did see the above link on yahoo and thought those actually interested in the wedding would find it amusing.

I’ll admit it, I’m looking forward to watching the wedding!
My aunt, sister-in-law & I are staying overnight at my mother’s house & getting up (way too early) to watch together – tea pot, scones & all :)

Not interested enough to watch it live, even if it didn’t involve getting up early, but I will watch video highlights. I do love weddings, and I have a soft spot for William, who lost his mother so early, and who seems to be making a productive life for himself. And I was impressed that Kate has tacitly admitted to having been a victim of bullying, and included an anti-bullying charity on the list. (The couple has requested donations to certain charities instead of gifts - another point in their favor). I imagine that learning that Kate survived serious bullying will be heartening to current British victims.

Wow, I hadn’t given it a thought and will definitely not watch, but I’m sure I’ll be checking out the pictures online afterwards.

I didn’t even know when it was. No, not excited about. I don’t know them.

It’s precisely because his mother’s marriage was a disaster that I find this one so interesting. With Diana, she had to be a virgin, they had only been together 13 times before the wedding, etc. This wedding reflects how much the times have changed, and I like that. Who would have thought 30 years ago that now no one cares that they’ve lived together for years, there are pics of her walking down the runway in a see-through dress, that she’s a commoner with a social-climbing mom? I just find the differences between the two weddings to be an interesting commentary on the times.

And, I’m beyond curious about the dress. Will that reflect the times, too? Will she wear a sexy little number? I hope not. She has a wonderful sense of fashion.

Wife unit is excited. So I will be stuck listening/watching to Ba Ba Wa Wa. IMO the Queen Mother looks better than her.
