Has anyone else watched the NFLNetwork special that rebroadcast Super Bowl I ?
A fantastic special. It took a long time, and a lot of work, to find and edit random bits of footage to recreate that game.

“Super Bowl 1: The Lost Game”
Yeah, you people rooting for Carolina just don’t want your team to face the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
I haven’t seen the superbowl I restoration, but I have seen superbowl III, and it is amazing to see what the superbowl looked like back then, it looked more like public access high school football games you see on tv today then the spectacle it is these days. The other thing it makes you realize is what superbowl III really meant, the first two were such blowouts that people assumed that Superbowl III was going to be like the first college game major teams play ie the NFL team kicking the crap out of the AFL team, and had that happened it is likely that the merger never would have happened, and the AFL likely would have died with perhaps some teams being allowed to move into the NFL, as happened with the old all america football conference, where teams like the Cleveland Browns and SF 49’ers ended up jointing the NFL when the league folded.
Carolina and Seattle are so well matched and know each other so well, so it should be an amazing game. We have neutral weather and they say the field conditions are good so I’m expecting it to come down to who ate their Wheaties this morning and has that extra fire. It could be just one or two great plays that separate them.
We have Bobby Wagner back (MLB) and the secondary is healthy now so hopefully the defense will be more stout.
Last week all on the road teams won.
But none of the wild card and on the road teams won yesterday. I wonder that will repeat today.
Seattle is fortunate to not be limping into the game like the other road teams. Aside from Jimmy Graham who had a big day against Carolina last time they are at full strength (we think). This should be a true head to head matchup with both teams mostly at their best.
"none of the wild card teams won yesterday. I wonder if that will repeat today " .I hope not.
ooops . . .
What a start!
dang
I’m going to do some stress eating. That should help, right?
Oh geezo pete
Go Carolina!!!
I hope it’s a blow out.
No O line help at all … not an auspicious start
Get out of here before you are getting hurt kid.
The Panthers look really dominating.
It looks like our O line did not eat their Wheaties
I really like Russell Wilson, the rest of the Seahawks not so much!
Seattle is to good a team and there is a lot of game to be played. I still hope Carolina stomps them.
Carolina is looking really good - we need a defensive reset here
