Are you ready for some football?

As long as no ice storms threaten you next weekend!

Oh yes - you are right, it is in Atlanta…last game before the new stadium?

See post# 4571

Awesome game. Can’t believe a rookie QB and RB battled back like that. So excited for the future.

That running back is one for the ages…Please Jerry Jones do right by them…and us.

So I guess fans attending the game got stuck in the stadium as they were under a tornado warning! Just when you thought the night couldn’t get any more exciting.

Classic Andy Reid clock management - has to burn a timeout to figure out what to run on 4th and 2.

PACK.

Pats.

Steelers. My terrible towel and black and gold socks will again be at the ready on Sunday! Tough one against the Patriots but you never know what will happen when two old guys go up against each other!

Andy Reid once again showed why he can’t win the big ones…and claiming that 2 point conversion penalty wasn’t holding is just sour grapes, the guy tackled Harrison, pure and simple, it was so gross the refs couldn’t overlook it. To be honest, I get tired of all the plaudits for Andy Reid as a coach, I think his fatal flaw is his inistence on calling the offense, he would be better off being the HC because he loses sight of the big picture, plus quite honestly he is too cautious sometimes and then does stupid things the rest of the time. He reminds me of Marty Schottenheimer a lot. And sorry, but Alex Smith is nothing more than a game manager, if you look at his stats in that game it was pathetic, him throwing anything over 10 yards is a 1 in 10 shot of catching it, not a great performance, but then again I always thought the pundits giving him praise were full of it.

I had a good chuckle this morning with Evil One’s comments about Tomlin’s locker room video put out by Antonio Brown, I loved the “I don’t use snapface or instant message, so I didn’t see it” lol

Going to be some good games this weekend, Green Bay versus Atlanta comes down to two relatively mediocre defenses and which can play above their level enough to let their QB beat the other. If Capers comes up with a strong game plan I think GB’s defense will dominate just enough to let Roger’s win, like they did against the Cowboys, but it is going to be high scoring…and if Rogers makes the kind of mistakes they did against Dallas, they will lose, no disrespect to Prescott who showed a lot in that game, he is going to be a really good QB, but Ryan given any kind of break is going to be deadly.

I am waiting to see what fool takes the OC job with the Jets, besides the fact that we have no QB and the college draft is eh for QB’s, and the personnel issues, and that Bowles is of the defense uber alles, offense doesn’t matter, give me Trent Dilfour and I can win a superbowl (course, I wonder if Bowles noticed that the Texans with the #1 D was killed by NE, and Denver didn’t even make the playoffs, because their QB’s stank). I also just thought of something the other day, the Jets got Maccagnan from the Texans, and it isn’t surprising he drafted Hackenberg and Petty, the Texans have not had a decent QB, they have had one ‘kind of good’ QB in Schaub (basically a Kyle Orton stats monster who couldn’t win that much), and a bunch of losers, so if he learned in that organization and with Bowles as head coach, I expect more of the Rex Ryan era with a strong defense (or an attempt to build one) and an offense relying on a game manager. One of the guys they were looking at for OC was a running backs coach, which tells me much of the story I need to see, aka ground and pound yuck

Turns out it was a nail-biter for a bit on Saturday night, eeks! Looking forward to the second best weekend of football coming up. Bring it on Steelers…we’re ready!! GO PATRIOTS !

Maybe we’ll see you there - Rise Up Falcons!

Not much suspense in this first game!

POS game, Green Bay should fire their GM, their defense is pathetic, and their O isn’t much better. At last with the O injuries and such are an excuse, their D is aweful

Facebook post by the Penguins just now, who beat the Bruins 5-1 this afternoon- “We set the tone. Now you finish them Steelers. One Boston team down, one to go.” Go Steelers! Hope it’s a good, exciting game.

I like both the Patriots and the Steelers.

My team knocked out by ATL last week, DH’s team knocked out by ATL today. No choice but to root for them in the Super Bowl.

I dislike both the Patriots and the Steelers. Definitely rooting for Atlanta.

Hoooeee, that was ugly. Glad I didn’t swagger around too much about my Packers. Now I’m a Falcons fan!
