Are you ready for some football?

It was deceptive because they had way more yards than points with the uncharacteristic missed by Hauschka

Which is pretty spectacular seeing as how the party line criticism of the Seahawks up until now was their lack of explosive playmaking ability. (post #979)

Lions’ Dominic Raiola suspended one game by NFL. Should’ve been more.

Missed that, RGE. What did he do?

I was thinking about you RGE since your Lions are contending this year. You thought they would have crashed and burned by now but they are holding out. Do you think that will impact the GB game?

Stomped on a defensive tackle’s ankle while he was tackled. This is his 6th discipline for a safety-related violation.

<a href=“Dominic Raiola of Detroit Lions suspended one game without pay - ESPN”>http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12067760/dominic-raiola-detroit-lions-suspended-one-game-pay

He said it was unintentional. I think he was borderline but he’s a dirty player who should’ve been dealt with before.

ETA: Nevermind, I just saw the video again. There’s no way that was unintentional.

Dang . . . is he friends with Burfict?

Who is that other dirty player . . . he reminds me of Burfict from the SEC I think and I want to say Feeley or something like that but I don’t think that’s quite it. He’s the D lineman who is always twisting quarterbacks’ knees and ankles when he tackles them.

Nick Fairley - thank you google list of NFL players listed alphabetically!

I would’ve guessed Suh.

Wow! Also a Lion! They have quite a bunch there between Fairley, Suh and Raiola

Odell! Odell! Odell! I’m sorry…this wasn’t a discussion of the most incredible and fun to watch player in professional football??? Sorry, carry on!

@garland‌ but I thought that title belonged to Watt???

But no, Odell is an absolute monster! Who knows what the Giants would have looked like with Cruz not suffering that horrible injury and Odell’s full potential unleashed

Odell is amazing, and may single-handedly cost me the fantasy championship as he racked up 30 points for my opponent. Since week 9 he has been an absolute beast. He’s the best of the 2014 WR draft class so far (although to be fair, Watkins and Evans have pretty crappy qb situations).

Yeah…
I don’t pretend to be proud. We’re a mess no matter where we end up. Though it would be nice to win a playoff game… the last one we won was a week shy of my first birthday lol.

What I want to know is, if they suspended Raiola, then why didn’t they issue some sort of penalty for Ansah for the helmet to helmet hit that caused the concussion in Clausen? And seriously… I’m not a Bears fan at all, but that was just dirty.

Oh man . . . Clausen has a concussion!? Do they have to bring back Cutler for the last game?

Ugh! Just watched the video . . . that was horrible! It was even worse as he was sliding down feet first so should not have been hit at all.

I was listening to Mike and Mike in the car and Tim Hasselbeck said that his criticism of Manziel since before he was drafted though pre-season up to now has been that when he does his “Johnny Football” magic on the field he is passing up open receivers to get to that point where he is “forced” to try to make things happen. He feels that Manziel has always created those play breakdowns by having poor field vision and decision making, then tries to get them out of it again. That worked in college but when Luke Kuechly is bearing down on you your chances of escaping and making the big play are greatly reduced . . . not to mention your chances of getting back up to try to make more plays.

Yep… Cutler will be back this Sunday. I can’t even imagine how low the morale on that team must be.

The reports say initially Clausen was fine, but he had delayed concussion symptoms later that evening. Very, very scary. And again, I can find no news that Ansah was fined.
