are you there god?

why cant freshmen and sophomores take ap classes in science?

bump…

some schools allow you to take it. but some dont because they feel freshmen and sophmores are not adequately ready to deal with the workload.

they can, i guess it depends on your school.

also: probably b/c Jr.s and Sr.s are so much better than Frosh and Sophs :).

agreed =] Fresh and Soph < Jun and Sen

Yeah. depends on your school. My school doesn’t allow freshmen/sophomores to take AP sciences.

At my school you can’t because too many pre-reqs.

ap physics–>you need past algebra 2, which only about 10 people per year actually do in sophomore year

ap chem–>you need reg. chemistry first, which you can’t take until you’re a sophomore, so yeah

ap bio–>you need reg. bio first which is a freshman requirement.

Other problem is at my school, freshman and sophomore year are pretty structured so it would be hard to fit in the 2 period requirement all ap science classes at my school have

in my school they’re letting sophs take envi sci, but like…that’s not a real science

how is that not a real science?

it’s not as demanding as the bio/chem/physics IMO, still a science though…
