Aren't you sick of blatant liberal bias on SAT test?

The SAT is clearly biased against conservatives. It is inundated with liberally biased material.

Your point being…?

And then conservatives wonder why liberals and independents think they are a bunch of dumb hicks…

Liberals clearly have the advantage while taking the test, and as a result the conservatives find themselves disadvantage. When was the last time you saw something regarding the legalization of firearms, or an excerpt from a conservative magazine or news article? Never- because the SAT is liberally biased. The SAT is designed to be “fair” to all takers, yet certain people are discriminated against as a result of making the test appeal to “everyone”.

Grow up, life is biased against conservatives. Although I do agree with you. I mean, most of the top universities are very liberal. I mean, damn, those liberals keep getting those high gpa’s and higher test scores. The tests much be easier for them. If only the SAT had more stories about how gay people don’t deserve rights, or more stories about how the bible is the most accurate piece of literature to ever be written. Maybe then conservatives can be better represented at Harvard! / sarcasm

Why is it that anything to do with minorities in considered liberal?

Nice delete BTW.

In short people, the OP doesn’t like the SAT because its biased against conservatives.

I think the goal of the SAT reading selection is to be unoffensive and use a diverse mix of reading material rather than to give leftist propaganda to millions of unsuspecting students. Using articles on controversial subjects from any point of view would be distasteful.

Yes but to be fair, the SAT should appeal to ALL groups of people- including conservatives and liberals. However, it is fact that the SAT would never include an excerpt over a traditional “conservative” issue such as second amendment or abortion being immoral and unethical. Shockingly a double standard exists for liberals. It is perfectly OK for the SAT to include a piece about Global Warming and the ill effects it has on he environment despite the fact that global warming can’t be scientifically proven.

Has the SAT really ever used a piece about global warming, or anything mildly controversial/interesting?

There are so many things wrong with that sentence.

Take the ACT and quit *****ing about it.

The SAT doesn’t ask you if you agree with their passages, they just ask you what the passages mean. I really hope that not believing in global warming or whatever doesn’t impede your ability to understand basic English.

You are freaking stupid.

Well, yes, I have noticed it. However, this year I do recall some CR questions on conservative slanted material. So there.

It really doesn’t matter what material they use: the test is on reading, not politics.

Knowing about the subject matter can actually be a DISadvantage, as you go in with preconceptions but must choose an answer based only on the passage given.

Last time I remember, there was a double passage article. One scientist supported the fact that global warming was man-made, the other said it was a myth.

Also, there aren’t exactly ultra-liberal articles either. It’s mostly inoffensive and politically correct material.

why does this topic even matter?

when i take the SAT, i don’t give a s**t what i’m reading. i answer the question and completely forget about the passage. please, it’s a frikkin test, not a propaganda platform. you think people actually pay attention to these passages?!

get a life and suck it up.

Seriously, what’s next
“Reality has a liberal bias.”
“Mathematics has a liberal bias.”
"Truth has a liberal bias’
This is getting ridiculous.

■■■■■ win.

… i will never understand some people. op needs to gain some intelligence

You’d have to have a LOT of time on your hands to examine biases in standardized tests.

^^^ haha yeah, I didn’t realize it until this post:
