<p>I just brought a mac. I am planning on downloading ares to my computer. I know that the PC version has a lot of viruses, but does the mac version have viruses. I haven’t brought an antivirus things so if it does, then I am not downloading it.</p>
<p>You don’t plan on using Ares on campus do you? That’s how you get busted for illegal downloads. Plus most campuses usually restrict the amount of downloads you can do .</p>
<p>Don’t illegally download any copyrighted material on campus - you WILL get caught.</p>
<p>Peer Guardian is a nifty little program that is helpful in blocking anti-p2p companies from seeing that you are even sharing. This works best if your actual school doesn’t keep tabs on you but only cares when they get sent notifications from the MPAA/RIAA and their cronies.</p>

<p>a mac can get the viruses which are designed for windows which won’t affect it, but if you also install windows on it the viruses can affect windows.</p>
