No, no…it has to be a name you can use “Mom” in. Or “Tot”. Or MomTot, TotMom or some such…

Jodi was up to her old tricks yesterday, just what they were, precisely, is still up to speculation. Court was never cancelled until 30 minutes past the stated start time, so they fully intended to hold court yesterday. I’m holding out hope that the reason it was delayed was because Jodi asked to forego the mitigation and just take the death sentence. So now they are evaluating her to determine if she is sane enough to make that decision.

But then I heard that convicted felons are not permitted to make that call in AZ.

This case just keeps getting more bizarre.

This case reminds me of the musical “Chicago.” The female murderers (both Roxie and Velma) find so much satisfaction in their notoriety and manipulations of people and of the truth, that they almost forget what is actually at stake. And when their cases are over, they are devastated that the next flavor of the month has stolen the attention from them. Sometimes when I would watch an interview of Jodi, it almost seemed like she thought they were interested in her for her good reasons. She literally lit up with all the attention she was getting, as if she was being interviewed on the red carpet for her fantastic talents and beauty rather than for the interviewer’s desire to understand how such a relatively attractive and articulate woman could be capable of being such a barbaric pig. I really think she believed her soft voice and intelligent manner of expressing herself would make people forget all the blatant lies she had told-that they would buy any cockamamie version of events she would throw at them as long as she said “well THIS time I’m telling the truth.”

Truly bizarre.

I’m still “hooked” on the “JA Escapades” and was forced to watch reruns this morning of her jailhouse interview on 9/11/08, before she admitted to killing Travis.

Speaking of “lit up” and “soft voice”, descriptions that Nrdsb4 uses to describe Jodi…

During this interview on 9/11/08 she is speaking very softly and thoughtlfully when she is lying but lit up when she is not lying, which wasn’t too often. During questioning about how she and Travis met, vacationing, etc. her tone, cadence, facial expressions, body language, etc. was like night and day-- lit-up versus her normally soft voice. Richard Samuels and Alyce LaViolette HAD to have picked up on this!

Edit: It was reported that there was a bomb threat that was tweeted shortly before the aggravation phase was to begin which caused the postponement.

I’d like to know how a person just convicted of 1st degree murder is allowed to give an interview minutes after being convicted?

emilybee, I wondered the same. Sometimes I think the law enforcement folks get just as caught up with celebrity aspect of these cases. I saw a video link to some of Jodi’s peers at the jail, lined up in their stripes holding “Free Jodi” signs. WTH?!?!
