Arik Einstein was arguably the greatest Israeli singer ever, and released over 44 albums during his career. He passed away late on November 26 (Israel time) at the age of 74. His songs were a significant part of my childhood. His songs are worth it to listen to even if you don’t speak Hebrew. One of his more famous songs is ani v’ata, and is about how “you and I” are going to change the world.

Ani v’atah was pretty much the anthem of my teen group trip to Israel in the 70’s. It’s such a great loss.
