Arrested Development (spoilers welcome)

So… should I get stoked about season 4 or should I not get my hopes up?

Spoil it all you want; the greatest thing about the show is that it keeps getting better each time you watch it. I only got started on season 1 after watching so many YouTube clips of Tobias innuendos that I figured I might as well see the whole thing. Lost count of how many times I’ve seen seasons 1-3 since then. :D

DH and DD1 got through the first 5 episodes on Monday. After hearing their comments, I would say they are disappointed. Very minimal amount of laughing. There seems to be quite a bit of digging on Hollywood, possibly due to the displeasure of being cancelled so abruptly? No one seems to be hurrying to watch more episodes and it is now 2 days later…

yeah i gotta be honest i’m about halfway through and its been pretty disappointing. its still a little funny but its just not the same. its all about the celebrity guests and the show focuses on each person’s individual story. the stories intertwine with each other but its just not the same. its like playing a game of catch up over the past five years. my least favorite thing is that since its individual, there isn’t as much interaction between the family members which was the best part. many aren’t even in the episodes. i mean its worth watching to at least try but its nothing like the other three seasons.

Everyone I know who saw it also underwhelmed. Damn.

Maybe I’ll just watch it some day when I have nothing else to do.

I agree with all of the above comments. I just finished episode 5 and am still hoping it gets back on track. I think you hit the main problem Hey7654, it is the interaction of characters that is missing.

Just finished the fourth season. It does pick up a bit towards the end, but a lot of the entire show is really just hollywood loving hollywood

The first few seasons were just so dense with jokes, subtle references, and the character interactions. This time it really felt like the show got bogged down with the amount of story they felt they needed to tell. It was neat with a lot of the stuff from the last few episodes explaining a ton in the first half, but the payoff wasn’t really that great. Also, about a billion questions left by the finale, so that kinda makes me go =.
