Arroyo Vista

is it true that Arroyo Vista is mainly a place for parties and stuff like that?

that its hard to focus there?

someone said that online and I just want to confirm this

thanks

Yeah, parties 24/7. Don’t expect to ever sleep in your dorm, let alone studying…

I got arroyo too…I think I’ll be using the library a lot then

It was a joke.

Arroyo Vista definitely has its party scene, between the Fraternity and Sorority houses and just the kids who want to party, however, you should be able to study without much problem. Not everyone parties and Av is a big community, you will be spread out enough that you should have quiet time.

One of the downsides to AV is no AC, so be sure to bring a fan to beat the heat in September.

Are you serious, no AC in the dorms??

Middle Earth didn’t have any AC either, and it sucked on the third floor, haha.

It’s really not that bad since Irvine has pretty good weather. I commute and live nearby Irvine and I can tell you that my house doesn’t even have AC either. It sucks during super hot days (80+) but for the rest of the year it’s really unnecessary. When you move in during September that is when it is the worst since it’s usually still summer weather. Otherwise you’ll be fine.

Thanks, just wasn’t familiar with the temps in Irvine since I’m from NorCal. Temps have been in the upper 90s - 100s.

did ya guys fax the cancellation of the residence hall contract? how do we know they received it?

i havent faxed my cancellation im actually going it do that today but i think they send you an email about your new contract when they receive it.
and kind of bummed that AV has no AC -.- but if it only get 80+ in Irvine thats fine. here it gets over 100 up to 110…
