<p>Anyone taken this before? Thoughts?</p>
<p>It’s the Ancient to Medieval class. The professor isn’t listed in Fall 09 schedule. I’ve been recommended to take Art Hist 11 but it isn’t offered this semester. Also I have little experience with art history.</p>
<p>Ancient to Medieval art does not seem nearly as interesting as Renaissance art since that’s where more sophisticated styles of art seemed to develop. =. </p>
<p>I would imagine that most of the paintings that you would be looking at will be very ancient pictures of biblical figures, you know the ones that aren’t entirely accurate. For instance, Jesus may look more like a small version of a man rather than an actual baby simply because they did not have the time or resources to explore the field of painting.</p>
<p>However, if you’re interested in the actual development of art from the beginning, this might be an interesting class to take.</p>
